What animals/plants are most common in Serbia?
The most common plants in Serbia are Oak and beech trees. Evergreens like pine and fir grow in the mountains where all you'll see is tree's. Serbia has many common animals like deer, foxes, wolves, wild pigs, and bears. Are any animals/plants endangered? Protected? Many species in Serbia are endangered, some of them include Fishes like The Adriatic Sturgeon, Bastard Sturgeon, Danube Salmon, European Mudminnow, Kerch Black Sea Shad, and Star Sturgeon. Mammals like Alpine Shrew, Balkan Snow Vole, and Mediterranean Horseshoe Bat. And Insects like Cucujus cinnaberinus, and Morimus funereus. Their are also some protected species like Lammergeie, Eurasian Black Vulture, and Griffon Vultures. Do the animals/plants have any economic value? Yes they do have economic values, they provide food and leather. |
