What type of economy does Serbia have?
Serbia has transitional economy, which is an an economy which is changing from a centrally planned economy to a market economy. How is the economy doing? What is their Gross domestic product (GDP)? The economy is doing pretty well in Serbia. The GDP is $45.52 billion. How does the country make its money? Serbia makes money by Agricultural and Industrial products, some of them are wheat, maize, sunflower, sugar beets, fruits (raspberries, apples, sour cherries), vegetables (tomatoes, peppers, potatoes), beef, pork, and meat products, milk and dairy products, grapes/wine, automobiles, base metals, furniture, food processing, machinery, chemicals, sugar, tires, clothes, pharmaceuticals. What does it import? Export? Serbia imports and exports its agricultural and industrial products. Is Serbia an agricultural based economy or an industrial based economy? Why? It is manly industrial based economy, because it has a higher GDP in the industrial part. |
